Having a professional website is essential for businesses these days.

Consumers look online first to inform their buying decisions. For most brick-and-mortar businesses, you’ll get more traffic to your website in one month than will walk into your shop in a whole year.

A good website should:

  • convert online looky-loos into customers

  • pre-qualify and inform buyers before they call or walk through your front door

  • create a positive impression to assure customers they’re in good hands

  • generate website traffic through keywords and current SEO techniques

I have extensive experience in marketing, sales, and business to help create an effective website unique to your needs.

I also specialize in working with business alliances such as Business Districts, Chambers of Commerce, Main Street Associations, Buy Local Groups, and Trade Associations. This includes member management, marketing, and social media services in addition to website development. Learn more here.

Pricing + Process

I typically charge between $1500-$3000 for a complete website design. Pricing variations are generally based on the following five considerations:

  1. The number of pages being designed

  2. Adding interactive features such as e-commerce, reservation systems, appointment calendars, etc.

  3. Designing a new logo, social media graphics, business card, forms, or other branding materials

  4. The amount of copywriting needed

  5. Amount of editing needed of videos, podcasts/audio files, and photos/illustrations

In addition to designing a website, my pricing includes work on back-end SEO (search engine optimization) programming, content appearance with social media sharing of site pages, Mailchimp newsletter integration, G-Suite integration, and other useful tools compatible with your business needs and your new website’s capabilities.

For an additional $250, I can provide you the following set of graphics as needed: social media headers (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn); mailchimp e-newletter template; and/or business card, postcard, business forms, and letterhead.

I offer one month of free website services after the launch of your website, and am happy to help train you in using your new site during that period of time. Thereafter, website support is available at a rate of $100/hour, or we can negotiate an annual retainer.

I require half of the fee in advance and the balance upon completion or at four weeks, whichever comes first.

I accept credit/debit card or payments via Venmo, Zelle, Stripe, and PayPal.

In addition to my fees, clients are responsible for website-related costs, such as purchasing a Squarespace plan (typically $216/year), domain hosting fees (typically less than $20/year), and purchasing photos/illustrations (only if needed, prices vary).

We will discuss — via phone or video conference — your website needs in detail, then I will provide a quote and project timeline. Normally, I complete the initial website design within a month or less from our start date.

Though a majority of my clients are in the Pacific Northwest, your business can be located anywhere; we will work remotely on your time zone throughout the process.

Why Squarespace?

Squarespace is a website platform that offers excellent backend management to improve SEO. It offers built-in analytics so we can monitor site traffic, popular content, and other key data points.

If you’re a restaurant or offer e-commerce on your site, there are seamless integrations with OpenTable, Amazon, Printful, and other platforms. You can also sell or accept donations directly through Squarespace’s built-in store features. There is also an appointment calendar plug-in that lets people schedule meetings with you.

Squarespace is reasonably priced (only $14-$46/month) and has built-in tools for a wide range of business types, including for therapists, podcasters, musicians, artists, restaurants, retailers, property managers, event producers, nonprofits, and many more.

The sites are automatically optimized for desktop, tablet and smart phone, so we’re only building one website with the ability to control how it displays on all three platforms.

Squarespace is a popular platform. You or your designated employee can learn the platform without having coding experience. If you want to contract my services for ongoing maintenance, we can discuss hourly rates or an annual retainer. Or, if you want to contract with someone else, you won’t have a problem finding someone proficient in using Squarespace. My goal is to ensure you have website independence!
